Is you current website good enough?
Ask these 5 questions
#1 Is your Website secure? AKA have an S after the HTTPS:// in your website’s URL
In 2019 everyone is pretty much using WiFi to go to a website. Google and other web browsers require you to have a n SSL or Secure Sockets Layer (SSL). SSL is the security protocol used to secure communications between a client and a server. YOU WILL NOT BE INDEXED in search by Google if this is missing which means miss potential clients!
#2 Is your website mobile responsive?
Mobile responsive means what when someone goes to your website from their phone your website sees that the person is on a mobile device and adjusts to the screen size. This is another MUST that Google requires.
#3 Does it look good?
People are visual. Your website look should reflect the brand you are selling. Your website is often a potential customer’s first impression of your company. You want it to be good, clear and easy to use.
#4 Is it more than 5 years old?
Really if your website is more than 3 years old it most likely needs to be updated but if it’s over 5 years old it’s critical to update your website. Technology changes very quickly and your website needs to keep up too. About 80% of people view your website on a mobile device and if your website is more than 5 years old what they are seeing it’s good.
#5 If it’s build on WIX.
There are only 3 platforms that a small business should be using to build a website. Squarespace, Shopify or Wordpress.
Why not WIX or one of the other DIY web design platforms that have been popping up in ads across your social media? The short answer is they don’t jibe well with Google which means your website most likely won’t be found by potential customers. I don’t want you to Lose MONEY!
